NYSC which stands for National Youth Service Corp is a one year compulsory programme for all Nigerian graduates. With that been said, this article is actually an overview/guide for applicants of the NYSC programme in 2025.
Firstly the official NYSC portal is www.nysc.gov.ng and the portal for NYSC registration which is the center of our discussion in this article is portal.nysc.gov.ng.

As a prospective NYSC member, you will have to create an account to commence registration, although the process for completing NYSC registration is done by NYSC agents, you can visit any cyber café around you to inquire if they do NYSC registration. Below are the steps to create an account on NYSC official portal.
1. Visit portal nysc gov ng/nysc1
2. You will be required to provide your email address and password.
3. A verification link will be sent to your email address
4. Click on the verification link to continue your registration
5. In the process of your registration, you will be required to provide
6. (a) Full name
(b) Name of School attended (Primary and Secondary)
(c) Year of entry and graduation (primary and secondary)
(d) Date of Birth
(c) Parent name
(d) Name of Next of Kin
(e) State and LGA of origin
(f) Disability or health issue
(g) State visited
7. After providing your details, Biometrics registration will be done by the agent where you will be required to make a payment by NYSC which is 3,050 naira, although the agent will add their charges of 2,000.
8. After the registration process you will wait for couple of hours to print your green card on your NYSC portal dashboard confirming your registration.
Note: The NYSC green card is different from the posting letter.
The NYSC senate list is a list that consists names provided by institution to have graduated and been cleared. The senate list indicates that if your name is there then you can go for service.
To check your name on the senate list follow the steps below:
1. Visit https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/VerifySenateLists.aspx
2. Enter your Institution name
3. Enter your metrication or school registration number
4. Enter your surname
5. Enter your date of birth as in your school certificate
6. Click on the “Search†Button to proceed.

NYSC mobilization portal shows names of people mobilized for the NYSC programme, previously, we disclosed how you can verify your name on the NYSC senate list, this is also the mobilization portal. The mobilization list contain names of students mobilized by their institution for NYSC.
The NYSC call up letter portal is where prospective corp members can see the state where they have been posted to. Below are the steps to print NYSC call up letter.
1. Visit portal.nysc.gov.ng/nysc1
2. Enter your email address and password
3. Click on resume button to Login your NYSC portal dashboard
4. On the left pane, click on “print call up letterâ€
5. Choose to save to your device or print out with a printing machine
On the NYSC portal there are two conditions to apply for relocation, Marriage basis and health basis, in this phase we will be answering How to apply for relocation using medical report.

Use a laptop to perform this process
1. Go to your NYSC official portal portal.nysc.gov.ng/nysc1
2. Enter your email address and password
3. Click Resume to proceed
4. Hover to the “Relocation†section.
5. Fill out the necessary details accurately.
6. Upload your supporting documents.
7. Click the “Submit†button to proceed.
To perform corrections such as to change date of birth on NYSC portal, follow the guidelines below:
1. Login to NYSC portal dashboard
2. Hover on the left
3. Click on corrections
4. Change date of birth and submit
As a serving corp member, you are expected to do clearance every month, this process involves biometrics which is done by your LGI. Below we have written about how you can see date for your LGA clearance on your dashboard and also to see months that your LGA clearance was successful.
Note: You are not permitted to skip any of your LGA clearance, else NYSC will discipline you for not been in your PPA.

4. Below your Green card, you will see date for your monthly LGA clearance

3. You will see NHIS NO and HMO
4. Below you will see a link saying “Click the link login your NHIA portalâ€
5. Click the link to proceed, your NHIA password is your Call up number and NHIA NO.
What is PPA, PPA is your Place of Primary assignment, this is where NYSC has posted you to serve for the NYSC one year programme. Below are guidelines to see your PPA on your dashboard.
1. Login to NYSC official portal
2. Click on “PPA Letterâ€

How do I check my State Code and Call up Number on NYSC portal ?
1. Go to portal nysc gov ng

5. You will see a title with State code and Call up number, this number usually start with abbreviation of your state of origin for call up number and state abbreviation for state code eg. RV (for Rivers state)
